The IPPDS facilities are a three-story building. On the first floor are the administrative units, an auditorium with a capacity for 100 people, rooms for videoconferencing and a laboratory.

On the second floor there are laboratories for the development of the activities of the research groups installed at the Institute, rooms for the exclusive service of activities linked to its proposal for the dissemination of research and for graduate education, in addition to those aimed at training programs promoted by the IPPDS. On the third floor, research laboratories were planned, as well as a room for visiting researchers. The total building area is just over 2,000 m².

Access to the IPPDS facilities will be made through a selective process of proposals from researchers interested in developing interdisciplinary projects that fit the research lines of the Institute and that have resources for their financing.
