  • Roadmap for the Ordering of Socio-Economic Development in Minas Gerais and Goiás – Brazil

his project seeks to catalyze and facilitate the identification and realization of systemic opportunities for sustainable economic diversification in certain regions of the states of Minas Gerais and Goiás in Brazil, through intersectoral partnerships and the establishment of a “backbone” organization in order to facilitate the design and implementation of socio-economic and environmental programs.

Its construction is made from the definition of the geographical space of activity in the two states, starting with an in-depth study on the baseline to characterize these regions with a focus on economic activities and social indicators. Then, a diagnosis of the opportunities identified is carried out in order to design long-term development strategies.

The Roadmap for the Ordering of Socio-Economic Development in Minas Gerais and Goiás is a project financed by Anglo American, carried out by the Institute of Public Policies and Sustainable Development – IPPDS, linked to the Federal University of Viçosa – UFV.
